Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with expertise in the planning, design, and delivery of municipal and private development projects. The ideal candidate is technically skilled, community-minded, and motivated to mentor junior team members while managing projects that shape critical infrastructure.

This position is hybrid, with flexibility to work remotely part of the week. Candidates must be available to commute to the Vancouver office as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, design, and construction administration of civil engineering projects, with an emphasis on potable water infrastructure.
  • Manage budgets, schedules, and quality standards to ensure project success.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and government agencies to align expectations and deliver results.
  • Provide oversight for construction sites, ensuring compliance with specifications and regulations.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers, designers, and planners to foster professional growth.
  • Contribute to business development efforts, including project scoping, estimating, and grant support.
  • Drive innovation to enhance the effectiveness and community impact of engineering solutions.
  • The highly qualified candidate will have a developed network capable of generating new client revenue.

Qualifications

Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, with ability to obtain Washington and Oregon licensure within 6 months of hire
  • Experience with public works and capital facilities projects (water and sewer project experience preferred)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D, WWHM2012, and HydroCAD
  • Strong understanding of design and construction principles
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Preferred
  • 10+ years of professional civil engineering experience
  • Proficiency in Mike+, ArcGIS, and project management software
  • Demonstrated passion for advancing water and infrastructure projects that benefit communities

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual salary: $120,000–$160,000
